Commemorative Air Force event
Saturday, February 17th, 6 pm
1940's Valentine's dinner and dance
hosted by the Indiana Wing of the CAF
Saturday, February 17th, 6 pm at Indy
Executive Airport (TYQ). More details are below and available at
www.indianawingcaf.org.
On Saturday, February 17th, 6 pm, the Indiana Wing of the CAF is hosting a
1940's Valentine's dinner and dance at Indy Exec (TYQ). The ticket price of
$30/person or $60/couple includes an excellent catered dinner, a live
swing/big band for dancing, a silent auction, and a barbershop quartet, all
surrounded by WWII warbirds and vehicles in a heated hanger. While period
uniforms or civilian dress are optional, we do have a contest for the best
dressed for that era. We've held this very enjoyable and successful event a
few times in the past, but this will be the first year we'll also have a
live band and a cash bar. For tickets, please contact me at the email or
phone number below, or Carl J Winkler at 317-769-4487. Tickets are only
available in advance and we will offer a $5 discount/couple if you purchase
your tickets as a group. Proceeds mostly cover the expenses, but we hope to
net a few dollars to also keep the PT-26 flying to airshows where we tell
the stories of the men and women that built, flew, and maintained WWII
warbirds..
Thanks much,
Dennis
