Loads of great information!

Ladies, YOU are cordially invited to join the Ladies Auxiliary of the Rocky Ripple Veteran's Association

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Rocky Ripple Veterans Association was rather loosely formed, beginning back in January, 2004, when fundraising efforts were begun for the construction costs of the Veterans Memorial.  Headed up by Rebecca Gullixson and Linda Hansel, since that time many other women in town have expressed an interest in being a part of this Ladies Auxiliary of the RRVA.  As we move forward towards more fundraisers and activities for our community, we’d like to take this opportunity to invite other ladies who might be interested in joining with us, to contact either Linda Hansel (253-8408) or I (Becky 255-1962) so that we can include you in our plans. Preliminary plans for the future include another fundraiser sometime in November to coincide with the dedication ceremonies of the Veteran’s Memorial in the form of a Dinner/Dance at the town hall.  We’re also requesting to ‘Adopt Peace Park,’ drawing up some preliminary plans for the landscaping of it, subject to the approval of the members of the Veterans Association so that it aligns with the vision of their memorial. There are many residents in our town who’ve never had or taken the opportunity to become a part of our community development in this way.  We’d like to encourage all of you ladies who share a love for the beauty of gardening, to join us in this fun endeavor.  A brunch sometime in late September is going to be planned and we’d love to have you attend and hear your input.  Please contact one of us if this seems like something you’d like to be a part of!  The only requirement for being involved in this Auxiliary is that you have cared about a Veteran at sometime in your life.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the RRVA

The Ladies Auxiliary of the RRVA is an offshoot(or a pick up) from the original LA of the RR Volunteer Fire Dept.  Eventually we'd like to add a sub-page called The Ladies Auxiliary Cook Book, combining recipes from the the original Ladies' Auxiliary Cook Book from 1964, plus new ones submitted.... So start thinking of recipes you'd like to share with your friends and neighbors!

Our first "Story" is the recipe for Chasen's Chili from Becky Gullixson-- the same chili we enjoyed so much at the FUNdraiser back in March!  It's just about chili time again already!  Enjoy the chili, and enjoy the history and stories that go with it!  Check out more on this famous chili on the web:  Click Here--
